A tv-series.com webmaster is a user that has ownership of one or more spesific series on the site, and that has the main responsibility of moderating the accompanying forum. Becoming a webmaster is basically a first come, first served thing. If you ask for a series that is not done, there´s a very high probability that you will be allowed to do that series. You will even get your own URL, at .tv-series.com. For example, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" can be reached at tng.tv-series.com.
These are the three roles you can have as a tv-series.com administrator, in ranking priority.
WEBMASTER
A webmaster has ownership of the site. He/she must do whatever possible to keep traffic running on the site, which includes creating topics, adding articles, and other things, like i.e. keeping the Trivia Game module up to date on questions (If that modules has been selected by the webmaster). The webmaster also has the absolute responsibility of making sure copyright laws are kept within their site. If for example someone would like to post media clips, that is all right, but they must obtain permissions by the copyright holder. A webmaster is also a moderator, and can choose other users to be moderators for their forum.
CO-WEBMASTER
A co-webmaster is basically the same as the webmaster, only he/she doesn´t get to choose which modules the site should contain, and they must follow the webmasters wish on how the site should be.
MODERATOR
A moderator is one that has administrative access to the site forum, and his/her mission is to make sure that:
1. All forum topics are related to the forum / the series
2. All forum topics should be "family-friendly", meaning no swearing, no porn, and no bad-mouthing. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but personal harrasment should be stopped by the moderator.
A moderator can:
1. Edit posts
2. Lock topics
3. Delete posts
This should only be done in extreme cases though - the tv-series.com moderators should be fair and keep an open mind.
CONTROL PANEL
The webmasters and co-webmasters have access to a userfriendly Control Panel, an administration tool that gives them control of their own site. This can be used to replace the site banner (the logo at the top), add/edit/delete articles, approve Trivia Game Questions, and perform other tasks related to the individual sites. It will also give you a statistic on the usage of your site.
